Hi everyone! 🙂
Today I am going to do a review on the Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid liner which I have mentioned in my nykaa mini haul.
Price: 475 /- for 1.2ml.
Product Description: Unique tip for a super smooth, mistake proof and one stroke precise jet black line. Keep cap tightly closed. Store tip down.
- Super long wear
- Waterproof
- Ophthalmologically tested
My experience:
I have been using Lakme insta eyeliner from ages. This is the first time I am going to use some other liner. Yes, this is shocking, but I’ve never felt any necessity of changing my eyeliner till now.I was thinking to buy this Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid liner from the time I’ve got to know about this. Then finally I bought it from the nykaa holi sale on discount. I have paid 380/- bucks for this.
The packaging is simple but classy. Its mostly look like a sketch pen. 😀
It is easy to hold, perfect for the winged lines to create a dramatic eye look.
One swipe is good for the full coverage. But for a bolder black, you will need multiple swipes.
It dries within 2 minutes. It stays 4-5 hours on your eye lid if you are not sweating. Then it’s started fading. It is not good for oily eyelid like mine. What I do, I prime my eyes before applying the liner. It increases the staying power; otherwise it stays maximum 2 hours on my lid.
The texture is a bit shiny. There is no rashes and no irritation. It feels very light on your eyes.
One most important drawback about the liner; it is not waterproof. I could be wrong but from my experience I have noticed when I washed my face after 2 hours of wearing this liner, a single splash of water removed the 70% of the colour and the pigmentation as you can see in the picture. I read many blogs about this product before purchasing, some says it is waterproof, some says it’s not. I am not exactly sure what’s right. May be I have got the bad quality product from nykaa, or may be is like that only.
Pros:
- Good for beginners
- Perfect for winged eyeliner
- Smudge proof
- Good pigmentation
- Very light on eyes
- Gives a light glossy finish which is good for party look.
- Easy to store
- Easy to carry.
- Easy to remove.
- Ophthalmologically tested
- Easily available
Cons:
- Not at all waterproof.
- Not for summer time usage.
- A bit shiny. If you are a matte lover please do not go for this one.
- Pricey.
- No ingredient list mentioned.
Rating: average 3/5
Will I purchase again?
I think NO. I will rather go for a waterproof and matte liner which suits my oily eyelid.
I will also not recommend this product to anyone. But if you really want to use it, apply a waterproof liner over this one and most importantly prime your eyelid. Then you are good to go. 🙂
